Description
Antennaria plantaginifolia (Plantain-leaved Pussytoes) is a charming native perennial that forms a low-growing, spreading mat of fuzzy, gray-green leaves. Reaching just 4 to 6 inches in height, this plant is ideal for groundcover, rock gardens, or meadow plantings. In spring to early summer, it produces small, white to pinkish flower clusters that resemble tiny “pussytoes,” attracting bees and other pollinators. This hardy plant thrives in full sun and well-drained, dry to moderately moist soils. Plantain-leaved Pussytoes is drought-tolerant and deer-resistant, making it perfect for low-maintenance, sustainable landscaping. Its evergreen foliage provides year-round interest, especially when used in naturalized settings or as a filler between larger plants.
